Airport Officials at Baton Rouge Airport are taking more steps at increasing the number of flights and airlines flying in and out.
Just months after announcing incentives for airlines, they're hoping to add a revenue guarantee program. That would make sure any airlines wouldn't lose money for the first few years they flew in and out of Baton Rouge.
Jim Caldwell is with the airport. He says a revenue guarantee program is the best bet when trying to bring in airlines.
That's not the only step the airport is taking. The Airport Commission is putting together a task force. They'll be looking at what airport has - compared to what the airport needs.
It could still be a while before more flights or airlines are added.
But Caldwell, along with other airport officials are very hopeful.
