RAPIDES, LA — A former Rapides Regional Hospital nurse has been found guilty of sexual battery on a patient.
A jury deliberated for just over an hour before finding Phillip Raines guilty.
The victim testified that he woke up after surgery to find Raines fondling him. He then fled the recovery room and notified other hospital empolyees about the incident.
Raines is scheduled for sentencing on May 4.
