NBC NATIONAL NEWS — Some popular brand name drugs may not return to store shelves until 2013.
Many products made by Johnson and Johnson, including Tylenol 8-Hour and Simply Sleep, have still not returned to the market.
The products, along with Children's Tylenol and Pepcid Complete, were removed in 2010 after the company was cited by the FDA for quality problems at three of their manufacturing plants; one was forced to close temporarily.
Now company executives say efforts to fix the manufacturing problems are taking longer and costing more than expected.
Company officials had estimated the products would be back by 2012.
