Baton Rouge, La — The following closures will be in place the night of Thursday April 19, starting at 9:00 p.m. with lanes reopening Friday by 5:00 a.m.:
Northbound Essen Lane at I-10 in Baton Rouge will each be reduced to one lane for bridge work.
I-10 Westbound in Baton Rouge from Siegen Lane to the Pecue overpass will be reduced to one lane for median barrier work.
I-10 Westbound Essen Lane Exit Ramp (Exit 160) in Baton Rouge will be closed for bridge work.
These closures will allow vehicles 11-feet wide or less to pass through the construction zone.
I-10 Westbound will be open for regular traffic but oversize vehicles must detour using Exit 187 (US-61 North / Sorrento).
Diverted traffic will be able to reach I-10 by traveling north along US-61, exiting onto I-12 Westbound and traveling west along I-12 until reaching I-10. Vehicles intending on accessing Essen from I-10 Westbound should continue Westbound, take I-10 Westbound (Exit 159) to I-12 Eastbound, and take I-12 Eastbound (Exit 1B) to Essen Lane.
