Baton Rouge, La — State Fire Marshal Butch Browning has retired.
Browning was recognized for reorganizing the Fire Marshal’s Office and cross-training its employees.
“It has been a pleasure to work for the administration,” stated Browning. You will not find greater champions of fire safety for the citizens and business owners of Louisiana. I leave the Fire Marshal’s Office proud of our accomplishments and the dedicated service of the Office of State Fire Marshal employees with whom I’ve served.”
He will be taking a job in the private sector.
Felicia Cooper, the long time Office of State Fire Marshal administrator, has been named as the interim Fire Marshal.
