NBC NATIONAL NEWS — Explosives demolished a nearly 3,800 foot-long viaduct in seconds over the weekend in eastern China.
It was the second demolition as part of a project to upgrade the local highway network in the western part of Nanjing.
Chinese State TV said the bridge collapsed in just under seven seconds.
Experts set up stainless absorbers to avoid damaging a nearby underground subway line, and authorities said the demolition didn't damage buildings in the area.
Bulldozers and trucks helped remove debris after the demolition.
