NBC News — After talks with his Japanese counterpart in Tokyo, the United States' top diplomat for East Asia said Washington is, quote, "satisfied" with developments in the U.N. Security Council following North Korea's controversial rocket launch.
Speaking to reporters, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for East Asia and Pacific Affairs Kurt Campbell said the U.S. and Japan have coordinated closely and have agreed on how to handle North Korea's actions. So far the U.N. Security Council has denounced the launch as a violation of resolutions that prohibit North Korea from developing its nuclear and missile programs.
