Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — Laura Domingue, founder of Trafficking Hope, told Baton Rouge Lagniappe that she and her husband, Lee, started the organization "Trafficking Hope" in response to the local problem of human trafficking.
The organization is now hosting their 2nd Annual Face of Hope Gala and Silent Auction, funds from which will be used to promote awareness of the problem of human trafficking and to build Hope House - a home to provide safe housing and rehabilitative services for victims of human trafficking .
The Gala will also offer a silent auction.
It will be held on April 21, 2012 at the La. State Museum at 7:00 p.m.
Former U.S. Congresswoman and President and Founder of Shared Hope International, Linda Smith, will be the guest speaker for the evening and music will be provided by the Michael Foster Project.
