PONCHATOULA, LA (NBC33) — Earlier today, Tuesday, April 10, the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested three men in connection to a copper theft. Officials say the arrest was made possible through a tip provided by a concerned citizen.
Reports say that the Sheriff’s Office was notified of a possible burglary. When they arrived they found two containers outside of the residence, which contained various types of copper wiring. When they opened the door to the home, they found three males inside who did not live in the home.
The three men did not have permission to be in the home and it was confirmed to be a burglary.
Deputies arrested Travis John Thompson of Hammond, Darryl Adam Freeman of Springfield, and Brad Wilson of Springfield. All three were charged with one count of Simple Burglary.

"Without the help of the pubic, these arrests may not have been made," Sheriff Daniel Edwards, Tangipahoa Parish, said.
Sheriff Edwards encourages all citizens to call and report suspicious activities. It is better to be proactive then reactive.
