NEW ORLEANS, LA — As Louisiana continues to pick up big time bids for film projects, more are turning to work as “extras” to pick up some added cash flow.
Recently, Where Y’at Magazine released a “behind the scenes” look at what it takes to be an extra, and what you should do if you’re looking to land some gigs.
Though more often than not the work seems more glamorous than it really is, it can be really rewarding, too.
“You meet a lot of interesting people, and the majority of them are just fantastic,” said Shadoe Knight, an actor and background extra who has worked on The Expendables, The Mechanic, and Memphis Beat, among others.
