NBC NATIONAL NEWS — Robin Henderson of Bremerton, Washington founded Cash Mob Bremerton to help local small businesses gain customers.
Like the famed, "flash mobs," these "cash mobs" operate similarily asking participants to show up to do something at a particular time.
CJ's Evergreen General Store was selected to be the spot of the first cash mob.
Participants of the cash mob were asked to show up the the store at a particular time with $20 dollars ready to spend.
The store said they earned around a thousand dollars from the event from the forty participants.
Henderson feels like cash mobs are a great way to get the community together to support local businesses.
