Call it a revitalization of the downtown area.
Several new businesses are opening up.
A popular New Orleans bar is giving the Capitol City a try.
Workers at Lucy's Surfer Bar are putting the final touches on the downtown eatery.
The owner says the beach-themed restaurant will attract a big lunch crowd, for both humans and pets.
That's right, there's even a doggie menu for owners who don't want to part with their pets while they eat.
Mangers say that's just the beginning.
"We're gonna bring what we do best, which is what we normally do," said manager Brian Gibbons.
"That's the wonderful imagination of Lucy's. We'll have luaus in the street, we'll have live music."
Lucy's is one of 6 new business gearing up to open downtown.
It takes the place of the old D'agastino's restaurant on Third Street.
Opening night is December 2nd.
