BERWICK, LA (NBC33) — Three men were arrested in St. Mary Parish were arrested after they stole several items from a local scrap yard.
The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office reports that the arrest was made on Wednesday, April 4 shortly after 10:00 p.m. A deputy was patrolling the area of Siracuse Road when he noticed the suspected vehicle involved with the thefts.
A traffic stop was conducted and the stolen property was discovered in the trunk of the vehicle. The items were mostly iron.
Thomas Streetman, 22, Jacob Hanks, 22, and Eric Leleaux, 19, all of Berwick, were all arrested and charged with Simple Burglary.
