NBC News — A top North Korean diplomat arrived in Beijing tuesday after informal talks with the U.S. in Germany. Speaking at Beijing's airport, the envoy told reporters that the discussions focused on tensions over the north's plans for a long-range rocket launch.
He said the U.S. was very candid and issues such as denuclearization were also discussed. North Korea plans to fire a satellite into orbit on the back of the long-range rocket later this month. The international community claims the launch is a secret test for the country's nuclear program.
