NEW ORLEANS, LA (NBC33) — New Orleans saints head coach Sean Payton is appealing his one year suspension.
Payton reportedly filed his appeal with the league office today.
The appeal also asks Commissioner Roger Goodell to clarify the parameters of the suspension.
Payton was suspended for one year following the NFL's investigation into the Saint's bounty program.
Goodell has stated that if Payton does appeal that process will be expedited.
Payton's suspension is slated to begin April 1, 2012.
