Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — "Hunger games" debuted this weekend and brought in$150 million, and there's a south Louisiana connection to the Blockbuster.
Judd Lormand, who's originally from Lafayette but now lives in Baton Rouge, has a role in the movie.
He even was a part of the premiere of the movie in a L.A. a couple of weeks ago.
Lormand's role is a "Peacekeeper" in the new country of "Panem."
The movie was shot in North Carolina. Lormand says his speaking part got cut out of the movie. But he's still in a major scene.
"Honestly I feel great, I couldn't be happier, just started acting when i was very young, and then got away from it because when I graduated high school you had to move to L.A. and New York, and now L.A. and New York have come here," said Lormand.
