BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — Baton Rouge Police Chief Dewayne White says he's ready to take back the city's streets, but he can't do it alone.
Chief White made it known earlier today at the Rotary Club Meeting.
White said he's working to improve relations with the police union.
The chief went on to say it's important to keep Baton Rouge Police Officers accountable and do what they were set out to do.
“We will take back our city,” stated White. “We will take back our streets. People will feel safe in the communities, and they will safe in their homes.”
Since becoming the city's police chief, White has said it's critical for people to call police when they see crime happening.
