Baton Rouge, La (NBc33) — Up to a foot of rain is expected to fall in parts of the state over the next two days, but ahead of the rain is a lot of wind.
A wind advisory was in effect for the region for most of the day, with gusts as high as 40 miles per hour being reported.
Here in the Baton Rouge area, trees and flags were whipping around all day long.
As the rain gets closer, the winds are expected to die down.
