NBC NATIONAL NEWS — The weight of student loan debt is crushing college graduates.
Outstanding loans now stand at about $870-billion dollars, according to "Forbes."
That’s more than credit card debt, which numbers $693-billion.
Forbes cites a paper from economists at the New York Federal Reserve, who analyzed consumer credit data from Equifax to get those figures.
They found that nearly 30-percent of student loan borrowers have overdue balances, while 21-percent are delinquent.
