BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — Baton Rouge Police will be doing their part to keep people safe during all the festivities.
A spokesperson for BRPD says they expect to have about 100 officers out on the parade route tomorrow.
He says there's always the possibility for more crime when people are drinking heavily, but the police will keep a close watch on that.
"They need to come out and expect to have a good time and for the people who are going to be drinking alcohol if they start to cause a disturbance or get out of line they're going to be met with a heavy police presence," Tommy Stubbs, Baton Rouge Police Department, explained.
The parade rolls at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow morning.
