Carencro, La (NBC33) — As Carencro residents in Lafayette Parish continue to recover from flooding, Red Cross volunteers from here in Baton Rouge are lending a helping hand.
Volunteers are helping throughout the Acadiana area.
Red Cross volunteers have been maintaining a shelter at the Carencro Community Center, and they say people have been staying there. The organization has also been providing meals and information.
Now, the Red Cross is moving on to assess the damage and distribute supplies for the people who are cleaning up the mess.
