WASHINGTON D.C. (NBC33) — Today the Senate voted and approved to provide $757 million for Louisiana in the 2012 fiscal year and $769 million in 2013.
This money is to be used to improve the various infrastructure of Louisiana such as the roads and bridges that are in desperate need of repair.
Sen. Mary L Landrieu, who voted in favor of the bill, has stressed that are roads are in desperate need of repair, and it is important for America’s infrastructure to be strengthened.
The funding from the bill will be distributed to the various programs within the Transportation Bill.
