NBC NATIONAL NEWS — Yahoo filed suit against Facebook for patent infringement.
In a lawsuit filed in federal court in California, Yahoo is accusing social media giant Facebook of copying a wide range of technologies.
The suit claims infringement of 10 of their patents covering advertising, privacy, messaging and social networking.
The lawsuit comes at a time following Facebook's announcement of plans of an initial public offering that could value the company close to 100 billion dollars.
