LAFAYETTE, LA (KPLC) — According to Louisiana State Police due to advancing flood waters, they are closing I-49 northbound at I-10 (Lafayette City Limits).
Traffic will be rerouted to I-10 westbound, LA 13 northbound, US 190 eastbound back to I-49.
I-49 southbound is being closed at US 190 (Opelousas City Limits). Traffic will be rerouted to US 190 westbound, LA 13 southbound and I-10 back to I-49.
We're told several vehicles were trapped due to high water.
