GONZALES, LA (NBC33) — THIS IS AN NBC33 NEWS UPDATE: Nathan Curry, 19, has surrendered himself to authorities in compliance with the warrants which were issued on March 12 for his arrest in a Gonzales murder case.
Nathan Curry is charged with one count each of Second Degree Murder and Attempted second Degree Murder.
Curry is currently incarcerated at Ascension Parish Prison and has a $150, 000 bond. This case is still under investigation by the Gonzales Police Department.
ORIGINAL STORY (3/12/12): The Gonzales Police Department is trying to locate a suspect believe to have shot and killed a teenager in Gonzales on Saturday, March 10.
We’re told the incident started with a fist fight at 11:45 p.m. at the Geismar Convention Center. The fight was broken up, but the incident turned deadly a short time later on Amber Street.
Details regarding the incident are limited at this time. When investigators arrived on scene, they found Davonne Solomon, 18, shot to death. A 17-year-old female was also shot in the arm and back. She is currently being treated at a local hospital.
Police are seeking any information about the person responsible for this shooting.
