IBERIA PARISH, LA — Sheriff Louis Ackal advises of two separate residential burglaries which occurred on Friday, March 9, in the early morning.
The first burglary was reported on the 1700 Block of Iberia Street at approximately 1:00 a.m. The victim advised she was woken up by a loud noise in the residence. The victim stated she then observed two white male suspects in the residence. The suspects then fled the residence on foot according to the victim. The suspects were able to steal electronics and money from the residence.
The second burglary occurred at approximately 2:50 a.m. on the 400 Block of Kathryn Street, New Iberia. The victim advised she was woken up by the suspects who were in the residence.
According to the victim the suspects fled the residence after they were told the Sheriff’s Office was being called. The suspects were able to steal electronics from the residence.
Deputies were able to obtain a possible license plate from the suspect vehicle, which is described as a White Van. Deputies were also able to obtain possible video of the suspects from a nearby convince store.
The suspects in this burglary are described as white males approximately 20-30 years old, 5’6” tall, both weighing approximately 150 lbs.
Detectives are unsure if the suspects in both burglaries are the same, but have not ruled out that conclusion at this time.
