Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — Students at Wedgewood Elementary school got presents today to help keep their body and minds fit.
Molina Medicaid Solutions delivered new children’s books and jump ropes to the school; it's all part of the company’s outreach program.
Students got a chance to learn how to do a basic workout and meet Molina's mascot, Dr. Cleo.
The company's director Ronna Romney says the other gift, new books, will help get the kids to love learning like they do play time
"If we can just kindle that spark for reading in these little kids, we have the potential for enormous opportunities for them," stated Romney.
450 students got a chance to take place in today's activities.
