NBC News — Ford hopes going small will help it go big in India. Ford is focusing on small, low-cost cars in India, its manufacturing hub for Africa and the Asia-Pacific region.
The U.S. automaker is set to launch several new small cars over the next three years. This is a first for Ford who traditionally has focused on larger vehicles like SUVs and pick up trucks. Company officials expect to double their capacity in Asia, to around 450,000 cars a year.
