BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — You can begin casting ballots for the republican and democratic presidential primaries and a slew of local elections on Saturday, March 10.
On March 24, state republican and democratic parties will hold primaries to decide which candidates will be chosen for their respective parties' presidential tickets.
It’s a closed primary.
That means you have to be a registered member of a party to vote in that primary.
Early voting runs from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. every day through March 17, except Sunday.
You can vote at the Registrar of Voters Office in your parish.
