Cell phone thief arrested by BRPD

Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — Baton Rouge police have arrested a man accused of holding people up and stealing their cell phones.

Dave Brown Jr., 18, committed more than six armed robberies between the middle of January and the beginning of February.

Brown is facing six counts of armed robbery and one count of simple robbery.

Brown is accused of taking cellphones at gunpoint. He's locked up in the East Baton Rouge Parish Jail.
