NBC NATIONAL NEWS — A former LSU football star got his shot in Indianapolis at the NFL Combine today.
Morris Claiborne sprinted through the 40 yard dash and other drills today.
The Combine lets NFL teams see players go through exercises that show the teams what the players have to offer.
They also get a little spur of the moment coaching from men who know the sport inside and out.
“Take advantage of this great opportunity that's presented right here before you,” stated Giants DB Coach Peter Giunta. “Take advantage of it. Take advantage of it. Do the right things, make the right choices. Get yourselves ready to have great careers in this league, and a great life beyond that."
Other LSU DBs, Brandon Taylor and Ron Brooks, ran drills as well. Brooks opened some eyes with his 4.37 40-yard-run time.
