TANGIPAHOA PARISH, LA (NBC33) — A man was arrested in Tangipahoa Parish after a Sheriff Deputy discovered he had 14 outstanding warrants that were issued by three different law enforcement agencies.
On Sunday, Feb. 26, the deputy noticed two suspects speeding on a four-wheeler across a field. The deputy stopped them to let them know that they were trespassing on private property.
When the deputy asked for their names, one man gave a false identity. After further investigation, the deputy learned the man’s real name, John Edward Green of Madisonville, and that he had 14 outstanding warrants.
Those warrants included 11 issued by the Ponchatoula Police Department, 2 issued by the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office (Felony theft, Distribution of CDS II) and 1 warrant from the Hammond Police Department.
Green was taken into custody and also charged with 2 counts of being a Fugitive from other Jurisdictions, Criminal Trespass, and Resisting an Officer.
