NBC NATIONAL NEWS — Nascar drivers will have to wait a little longer to get the 2012 Sprint Cup season started.
Rain has yet again delayed the Daytona 500 until 7:00 p.m. tonight. This will be the first primetime Daytona 500 in race history.
An all-day rain on Sunday forced the delay until today, which was also a race first.
Also, a Tuesday race is not out of the question if the rain continues through the evening.
When it does start, the race will feature several intriguing factors, including Danica Patrick; she was spun out in a qualifier, but came back to win the pole position for Saturday's nationwide race.
