Baton Rouge, La — LSU sophomore football players Craig Loston and Barkevious Mingo took advantage of the off-season and visited the patients in Our Lady of the Lake Children's Hospital Wednesday.
SEC champions Loston and Mingo walked from room-to-room throughout the hospital and visited the patients and their families.
Along with them was a wagon full of LSU gear, including t-shirts, hats, water bottles, pom-poms and Mike the Tiger bobble heads. They ensured that every patient would receive at least one signed item from both of them.
Second-Team All-SEC pick Mingo took pleasure in being able to put smiles on the children's faces, and Loston enjoyed his second time visiting the hospital.
"I enjoyed my visit last semester, so I wanted to come again," Loston said. "I enjoy seeing smiles on the kids' faces even though they might be hurting and in a lot of pain. They always find a way to smile when we come in the room, and I like being a part of that."
