City leaders in Central say they're town is losing out on thousands of dollars in tax revenue because the town doesn't have its own zip code.
Right now, the mail that goes out to Central has at least five addresses.
Some say Baton Rouge and others have different city names.
Officials say when shipments of building supplies are delivered to the addresses--the sales taxes aren't going to Central.
The city is asking residents to sign a petition to push the post office to narrow down the zip codes.
