BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — Nearly two years ago NBC33 News told you about a house here in Baton Rouge that was over run by black cats. The home had around 200 felines living in it, and the process to find them all a safe home is continues.
Of those cats, most have found new homes. All of the remaining cats have finally been spayed and neutered. The last two kittens from the pack will soon be adopted by the family of a boy who will get them for his 11th birthday.
The cats were originally discovered after complaints started pouring in from neighbors about the smell and sounds coming from the home. Neighbors feared the conditions were not safe of the animals, or the people living in the home. We’re told that those complaints have now subsided as the population of the pets continues to drop.
