Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — Gas experts say prices at the pump could rise as much as 20 cents by the end of the weekend.
A refinery fire in Washington State could be the reason for the sharp increase.
Experts say prices are jumping as much as 40 cents in some parts of the country because of the reduced supply.
Here's a look at where gas prices stand today.
The average price in Baton Rouge is $3.51 a gallon, while it’s $3.50 in Lafayette.
Both are still below the national average, which sits at $3.55.
