BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — Gas experts say prices at the pump could rise as much as 20-cents by the end of the weekend.
A refinery fire in Washington State could be the reason for the sharp increase.
Experts say prices are jumping as much as 40-cents in some parts of the country because of the reduced supply.
The average price in Baton Rouge is $3.51 a gallon.
Meanwhile it's three fifty in Lafayette.
Both still below the national average which sits at $3.55, according to GasBuddy.com.
