It's finally here. The highly anticipated Twilight sequel, New Moon, premiered at midnight and fans were out in droves.
It was a mad dash to get the best seat in the house Thursday night, but fans started lining up outside the Rave Mall of Louisiana hours before the movie even started. The line of people waiting to get in wrapped almost around the entire building.
The Rave showed the movie on all 15 screens for the premiere, and every single seat was sold out. Tickets went on sale about a month ago. The Rave made sure this event was special for Twilight fans. There were celebrity look-alikes walking around and free New Moon t-shirts for fans who gave blood before the movie started.
New Moon, a story about a love triangle between a vampire, a werewolf, and a human, is based on Stephanie Meyers best-selling book series. Fans of the series were excited to see the books transfer over to the big screen, and many think it will be better than the first movie, Twilight. That film came out in 2008. It grossed over 70 million dollars it's first weekend in the box office.
