BATON ROUGE, La (NBC33) — Despite dreary weather, the Krewe of Artemis parade rolled out without a hitch on Friday night. It rained most of Friday, but the all-female krewe braved the elements.
More than 300 ladies were loading up their floats earlier in the day in the rainy weather. This is the Krewe of Artemis' 11th year and veterans say the dismal weather is just part of the parade atmosphere. They say it's rained on their parade almost every year.
Luckily, it cleared up just in time for the parade to roll.
