BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — Even in the rain, the Livingston SPCA says finding the dozens of animals a home is critical. And that's what they tried to do today.
The SPCA has almost 70 animals that need a permanent place to call home.
A vast majority of them have been picked up off the streets all throughout Livingston Parish.
The adoption is at the Petsmart on Millerville located off I-12. The adoption event will continue all weekend, rain or shine.
The director of the Livingston SPCA says the rain doesn't matter when it comes to finding animals homes.
“In our parish, we don't have an active animal control, so we rescue a lot of these dogs off the street and hope to find them a really good home,” Terri Dunlap, Livingston SPCA, explained.
The adoption event goes through Sunday.
