Caddo Parish, La (NBC33) — The Caddo Parish commissioner who introduced the pajama ordinance is now embarking on a letter writing campaign to bring a national retailer on board.
Commissioner Michael Williams has a plan to ban wearing pajamas in public.
Now he wants churches to help him with the campaign, asking stores like Wal-Mart and Target to not allow pajamas in their buildings.
"I'm not trying to be the fashion police of America,” stated Williams. “I'm concerned about the future of this country dwindling away. It's pajamas today, boxers tomorrow."
Commissioner Williams says he's working with an attorney on the wording.
They plan to base it on the city's sagging ordnance, and they plan to present it to the rest of the commission at the last meeting of this month.
