Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — The St. George Fire Department was awarded thousands of dollars to help train firefighters.
The Assistance to Firefighters grant program gave the fire department more than $196,000.
The fire department will help them buy a fire truck simulator.
This will allow firefighters to handle simulated situations they might encounter on a real fire call.
The goal is to get them ready for any and all situations.
