BATON ROUGE, LA — The LSU men's and women's basketball teams pay tribute to the fans this weekend as LSU "Fan Appreciation Weekend" takes place during two pivotal Southeastern Conference games on Saturday and Sunday in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.
The LSU men's basketball team takes on Arkansas at 12:30 p.m. Saturday and the first 3,000 fans receive a free special edition Pete Maravich mini-bobblehead. Tickets start at only $5.
Prior to the game, the LSU women's basketball, gymnastics, track and tennis teams will sign autographs on the concourse of the Maravich Center at 11:00 a.m. LSU cheerleaders and "Mike the Tiger" will also be on hand.
Tiger One, LSU Sports Properties' mobile entertainment unit, will be parked in front of the Maravich Center. The first 750 students in attendance at the game receive a free LSU foam finger.
Later that afternoon at 3 p.m., the action shifts to Tiger Park as the LSU softball team hosts "Fan Day." Fans will have the opportunity to meet the team and get autographs, purchase season tickets and watch a home run derby. This will be the first opportunity to get the 2012 LSU Softball poster.
On Sunday, the Lady Tigers welcome sixth-ranked Kentucky into the PMAC for the annual "Gold Game." All fans are urged to wear gold and general admission tickets go for a special low price of $1. The Wildcats own a 20-2 record overall and are undefeated in SEC play at 9-0.
Tickets for both games can be purchased at www.LSUtix.net  or by calling the LSU Athletic Ticket Office at 1-800-960-8587. Tickets can also be purchased in person during the week at the LSU Athletic Ticket Office located on the first floor of the Athletic Administration Building from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. On gameday, tickets are on sale on the upper ramps of the PMAC. Admission for LSU students is free with a valid LSU ID.
An exciting halftime performance by world-renowned act "Quick Change" takes place on both Saturday and Sunday.
On Thursday, the LSU women's basketball team hosts Florida at a special time of 6 p.m. CT. The first 2,000 fans in attendance receive free Lady Tiger rubber duckies.
