East Baton Rouge Parish, La (NBC33) —
New State Superintendent of Education John White stands to make over a quarter of a million dollars.
His salary will be discussed by a joint legislative committee on the budget this Friday, who will first have to approve white's salary of $275,000.
White was tapped last week by the BESE Board to the position of state superintendent.
Former Superintendent of Education Paul Pastorek's pay package came in $377,000 per year.
