Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — Governor Jindal's Inaugural Ball played out the Renaissance Hotel, and for him, tonight was the night.
"My second toast tonight is to the great people of the great state of Louisiana," said the Governor.
The Renaissance Hotel opened it's doors tonight for the Governor and first lady of Lousiana. And with dancing, great food, and a packed house, it was hard not to have a good time. But the Governor also said there was a strange coincidence between him and the LSU Tigers.
"Every single time I run for Governor, they get their National Championship."
But that was just one of a few things the Governor talked about. Jindal's main point tonight was to outline the hard work of the last four years.
"We showed the world that indeed, Louisiana is the greatest state in the greatest country in the history of the world."
Several elected officials like Insurance Commissioner Jim Donelon came out to show their support and even though they could barely move, found some elbow room to dance in.
The Governor will be Inaugurated at Noon, Monday at the Old State Capitol.
