BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — The game is still several days away. By now you know its Monday night, LSU vs. Alabama, The rematch of the century or whatever you want to call it.
We don't know yet who will win the game but Thursday night Alabama won a small battle on the recruiting front.
Landon Collins, the top ranked high school prospect in Louisiana, verbally committed to Alabama, not his home state LSU Tigers.
Collins played both running back and safety at Dutchtown High School in Geismar. That's just a hop, skip and jump to LSU's Baton Rouge campus. Still though, Collins, on national television put on a pair of Alabama gloves saying "I'm going with Roll Tide Roll."
His mother disagreed saying "I felt like LSU was the best place for him, Go Tigers, LSU number one."
His verbal commitment still leaves the door open if he decides to change his mind before national signing day
