In Ascension Parish--a massive tree collapse is blocking the flow of an historic waterway.
A seventy-five foot tree uprooted and toppled over both banks of Bayou Manchac more than three weeks ago.
Residents there say the massive tree is blocking any boats and wildlife from passing through.
They say they've asked the parish to remove it..but officials told them it's up to the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries.
Residents worry if nothing is done, an important piece of history could be lost.
