Baton Rouge, La. (September 14, 2009) - Tulane University and Baton Rouge General Medical Center have signed a non-binding letter of intent to explore how the two organizations might work together to provide greater educational opportunities as Tulane seeks to expand the number of students enrolled at its medical school.
The ability to add medical students to future classes at Tulane’s School of Medicine has the potential to significantly increase the number of physicians in the state and expand healthcare opportunities for the citizens of Louisiana.
The discussion, which is at a preliminary stage, is expected to conclude by the end of the calendar year.
