One industry has seen a boost even as the economy remains unsteady.
Shoe repair shops say they've seen an increase of people coming through the door. Just a few years ago, some shops were worried they might not be in business down the road, as shoes got cheaper and cheaper. But now, at Militello's Shoe Repair, they're taking care of nearly 50 shoes a day. They say it's in part because of the economy. More people are hoping to save some extra cash by repairing their old shoes, rather than buying a whole new pair.
